A Study on Effect with RAPAEL Smart Gloves for Hand Rehabilitation of Stroke Patients

Abstract
|
|
|
Purpose : This research aims to examine the effect with RAPAEL smart gloves for hand rehabilitation of stroke patients.
Method : This research subjects included 9 chronic stroke patients who had no experience of virtual training and had scores over 25 on K-MMSE. Their satisfaction after using RAPAEL smart gloves was investigated, and the experiment examined again after it was conducted for 30 minutes a day, 5 times for 2 weeks. The research result confirmed that RAPAEL smart glove program using virtual reality helped treatment and had an influence on overall funness
and treatment, and showed a significant difference (p<0.05).
Result : First, RAPAEL smart glove is useful to treatment, proving that it had a statistically significant difference.(p<0.05)
Second, they are funny to use RAPAEL smart glove for treatment, proving that it had a statistically significant difference.(p<0.05) Third, to use RAPAEL smart glove is vary helpful that they are participation in treatment theirself, proving that it had not a statistically significant difference.(p>0.05) Fourth, they are satisfied that treat patients to use RAPAEL
smart glove, proving that it had a statistically significant difference.(p<0.05)
Conclusion : This research confirmed that applying RAPAEL smart glove program integrating virtual reality helped stroke patients¡¯ therapeutic funness and overall treatment for their hand rehabilitation.
